Morrissey is one of the original high profile pioneers using his public platform to fight for the rights of animals.
Similar to last year, I ask you to join us once again in publicly honouring Morrissey who boldly gives a voice to the most voiceless on earth, as a gift to him for his birthday.
Letters to Morrissey will publish birthday wishes from fans who specifically thank him for all he has done for the animals, and describe how he has inspired you to also fight for animal rights, by for example, becoming vegan, and/or doing other animal activism etc.
1. Write a paragraph or more about how you are grateful for his animal activism, and how he has influenced you in this direction – as an example: if you became vegan after hearing Meat is Murder, can you describe how and when it happened?
2. If you can include a picture of you in a tee that supports animal rights (one from the Morrissey merch would be great!), or a picture of you doing animal rights activism, this would be absolutely marvelous! If you can’t add an appropriate picture, let me know and I will use one of Morrissey.
3. Write a little about your preferred animal rights organisation:
