Rosa honours Morrissey’s birthday by donating to Hunt Saboteurs Association: Join Her

Hi,

I just discovered this brilliant letter to Moz page on Facebook. I’ve made a donation to a brilliant charity (https://www.huntsabs.org.uk/)  and also attached a picture of my dog, Molly – who is also not a dog on a chain.
I’m vegan and Morrissey and his deep love and respect of animals means a lot to me. To see someone so beautiful and intelligent,  who is unafraid to tackle the nightmare markets of China and the routine murder of animals all over this planet with all of the carnivores on it, is truly amazing. In this day and age, we are all petrified of the things we should hold dear. Our freedoms, our love, our beauty. We would sacrifice it all to appease those who simply wish us to.
And yet, here is Morrissey. Standing tall above all of this, standing for the rights of animals to keep the one thing that they have – their life. I am proud to be his fan. He is an inspiration. He has kept me going through the bad times. I have a chronic illness and years ago I was listening to “November spawned a monster”. It was during a time I could not even wear what I wanted due to pain and when I heard, ” And one fine day, let it be soon, she won’t be rich or beautiful, but she’ll be walking your streets in the clothes that she went out and chose for herself”, I felt as if it was ok if even that was my destiny. If that was all I achieved in life, it was ok because Morrissey said it as if it was beautiful. It kept me going, and it will always be appreciated.
Happy birthday, Morrissey. Lots of love. Xxx
Rosa.
