Open Letter to Morrissey from Jonathan Dart

They attack you where you’re strongest. You’re witty so they make you slow. You’re strong so they make you wilting. You love your country so they say you hate others. You’re a working class icon so they cast an aristocrat to voice you. You have your own words and ways of saying things so they attack you for things you never said.

You are more relevant than ever and you’re saying the same things you always have, they just never paid attention.

‘If you feel the world hates you, remember it hated me before you’

Jonathan Dart
