Open Letter to Morrissey from Sophie Good

Dear Morrissey

I want to send my support and love following the upset you’ve experienced over Panic on the Streets of Springfield. I felt most of the story portrayed you with some affection, but then came the hate, and I was genuinely shocked.

‘It’s only a cartoon,’ I’ve since read on social media. Tell that to the grieving families of 12 murdered members of the Charlie Hebdo team in Paris would be my response.

I’ve been an admirer of your work and your passion for your beliefs since 1983, and the ignorance of others will never change that.

With love and strength,

Sophie Good
