It wasn’t until my teens when I really discovered the power music has. This came after hearing Irish Blood, English Heart on the radio… This moment changed my life forever.
I found a sound, words and a person I felt I could relate to. Being a quiet and shy teenager trying to find his place in life was finally introduced to the world of Morrissey and instantly felt connected to the lyrics and sound blaring from my CD player.
I never fit the mould at high school yet Morrissey, somehow, made it more bearable. I can’t thank him enough for helping me get through those years and his music continues to be the soundtrack to not just those biggest challenges faced but also some of the best days of my life so far!
